Building Surveyor with AutoCAD Position would suit a building surveyor with approx. 5 years relevant working experience with strong AutoCAD experience and competence. Preferably either recently qualified or seeking to complete their APC for MRICS. We will hold a two-stage interview process. The 1st stage will comprise and introduction and interview. The 2nd interview will include a practical task. Job Description Working within the surveying team providing technical surveying support to Senior/Associate surveyors as well as working autonomously. Essential skills are as follows:- Ø Site surveys and reporting Ø Specifying works and drafting schedules of works Ø Preparing detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD for roof recovering, minor alteration and internal refurbishment works, etc (suitable for Building Control applications) Ø Preparing plans and Building Control applications Ø Measured Surveys and drawings using AutoCAD Ø Contract Administrator duties Ø Employer’s Agent duties Ø Party wall surveying including site surveys and dictating schedules of condition Ø Condition survey reports for asset expenditure planning Ø Building survey reports (mainly non residential) Desirable additional skills are as follows:- Ø BREEAM qualifications, EPC’s and sustainability Ø Some infrequent Dilapidations as and when the need arises Ø Advising surveying team on buildability and design implications i.e. Building Regulation requirements, etc. Employment Basis Ø Permanent full time with 6 months probationary period Ø Start ASAP Ø Salary £25k - £30k depending on experience and ability. Ø 22 days holiday plus 4 additional days at Christmas (in addition to public holidays) Ø Mainly based at our Head Office in Romford, Essex. Other requirements Ø Driving licence and car essential Ø Must be team player Ø Competent with Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel & Outlook Ø AutoCAD 2009 required Ø Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK Sector Types Ø Public Sector corporate/office, residential, education and healthcare Ø Private Sector office, industrial and some retail and some bespoke residential
